Kovakuoriaisen kodissa vankina oon.
Kukaan ei voi lukkoa murtaa.

tulisella loitsulla taivaisiin lähetti.
Nyt vain soitan ja soitan…
huiluni valtaan kaikki hukkuvat…

I’m completely silent
Priest Pikkarainen greets in the morning and
announces good morning.
In the evening then ”AA-AA”
a lullaby is sung.
In front of a shining black night,
only the stars twinkle.
Breathing listens.
And finally hears:
a wonderful silence begins.

Olen ihan hiljaa
Pappi Pikkarainen aamulla tervehtii ja
hyvät huomenet kuuluttaa.
Illalla sitten ”AA-AA”
tuutulaulu lauletaan.
Edessä hohtavan musta yö,
vain tähdet tuikkivat.
Hengitys kuuntelee.
Ja lopulta kuulee:
alkaa ihana äänettömyys.

My eagle is a great big bird –
